Emoji Search

Use the main PrintEmoji keyboard to search thousands of emojis by name, meaning, category, shortcode, symbol or Unicode value. Search works best when you combine a simple word with a category, such as heart, fire, food, flag, hand, smile or warning.

How do I find and copy an emoji?

Short answer: enter an emoji name, meaning, category, symbol or Unicode value below, choose the closest result, then select Copy emoji. PrintEmoji copies the real Unicode character to your clipboard, so you can paste it into messages, documents, captions, code or any other app that accepts text.

Try a common word such as “celebration,” an exact emoji such as “🔥,” or a code point such as “U+1F525.” Results open on the free emoji keyboard.

Emoji search questions

What can I search for on PrintEmoji?

You can search by common name, meaning, mood, category, shortcode-style word, visible symbol or Unicode code point. Useful examples include heart, celebration, warning, U+1F525 and an emoji pasted directly into the search field. The Unicode emoji list is a better starting point when you need to browse code points systematically.

Why can the same emoji look different on another device?

PrintEmoji copies the standardized Unicode character, but Apple, Google, Microsoft and individual apps draw their own artwork. The code point and general meaning stay the same while colors, shapes and small details can vary. Check the emoji’s meaning and text label when appearance could change the tone.

Does copying an emoji also copy an image?

No. The copy button places Unicode text on your clipboard, not PrintEmoji artwork. The receiving device chooses how to display that character. This keeps copied emojis compact, searchable and compatible with ordinary text wherever the selected Unicode version is supported.
